Details

The new Mitsubishi Lancer officially started competing during the 2001 Sanremo Rally. Even though the car has a 4 door body shell derived from the Cedia Sedan (not distributed in Europe), it is the first WRC designed by the Ralliart team.

The Mitsubishi Lancer WRC'01 is powered by a 4-cylinder transverse engine, which has been set back 4 cm in order to reposition the air exchangers, as well as the engine intake and the exhaust manifolds.
